Levi's® is not just a successful global clothing brand but also highly involved in both original music development as well as educating young people about knowing their HIV status. They have been involved in this remarkale project for a while now, with recognisable success too.
To this end, Levis® Red for Life is all about ‘working it out for yourself’. Students are a particularly vulnerable group, that's why this year, students got tested at the co-branded Levi’s® / New Start mobile testing clinics at campuses around the country over the past month. More than that, 500 lucky students who tested are getting the opportunity to attend the fourth Levi’s® Rage for the Revolution concert, being held on Saturday, the 8th of November at a secret location.
The concert will feature Tidal Waves, Jozi, Flat Stanley, Malaika, aKING, L’vovo, Ntando, DJ Euphonik and DJ Oskido, and in a new initiative, all of the artists will also undergo testing - a concert where everyone in attendance, and everyone on stage, has been tested.

Below are some of the pro-active, accountable, supportive and even personal statements made by some of the artists who are behind and fully endorse this amazing and extraordinary campaign:
Tshedi Mholo from Malaika - “Levi’s® Red for Life has been highly effective in creating Aids awareness amongst ordinary people. Personally, I would like to encourage the negative to stay clean and the positive to remains positive thinkers. We are privileged to be involved and appreciate the opportunity to use our celebrity status to create awareness.”
Jacob ‘Zakes’ Wulana from Tidal Waves - “We need to shout this message out loud. It’s very hectic for the country when we think freedom is going to bring us everything we want, but the nation is still dying. We want to make people more aware of that because this affects everyone.”
Ntando - “I got involved in this for one reason only: a human life is priceless, so it’s important to me to provide as much help and support that I can.”
Andrew Mac from Flat Stanley - “We’ve enjoyed a long partnership with the Levi's® Original Music programme, so getting involved with Levi’s® Red for Life was a no-brainer”
Students only qualify to win free VIP entry to the concert if they have been tested. So, students, go out there and get tested. Not only students, but if you lead a sexualy-active life, make your move now, get tested and live positively. And eveybody else who can, go and support this positive campaign, afterall HIV/AIDS affects us all.
